120322 The Promise kept by a fan of Rooftop Prince Park Yuchun
There is a touching story about a fan of Park Yuchun acting Rooftop Prince, SBS Drama Special for Wednesdays and Thursdays, who kept a pledge of making a donation to charity. Park Yuchun, who had a fan-sign meeting on the 25th, last month in a franchised restaurant which he himself models for, accepted the proposal unhesitatingly knowing that the restaurant was opened by one of his fans. The crowds of fans from Japan, China and other Asian countries as well as Korea became a big news at that time.
After the meeting, Ms. Oh, the owner of the restaurant, conveyed the gratitude to Park Yuchun and made a promise that she would put the profits from her restaurant to a good use. On the 20th of this month, she kept her word by making a donation of 100 million won from the profit to Korean Society for the Cerebral Palsied located in Kangseo-gu in Seoul.
She said, “ Yuchun has impressed many fans by practicing the sharing with the needy in his daily life” and “As a fan of his, I am also supposed to do this and start making a donation with a small amount. From now on, I will keep donating with the hope that this kind of action will make a warmer society for us.” And, she also wishes a great success for “Rooftop Prince.”
The producing staffs of “Rooftop Prince” said that, “through this drama, they can feel how passionate Park Yuchun is in his acting and how much he is caring for and loyal to others including his fans.” They expressed their gratitude for Yuchun and his fans as well. “Rooftop Prince” had a strong start with a viewers’ rate of 9.8% (AGB Neilsen for nationwide, 11.3% for the capital region) for its first episode.

Don’t feel sad about the ratings. So long as the script is well-written and the drama well-acted and directed, we should all feel proud. Remember, SKKS did not have good ratings but is still being talked about to this day and is still raking in big $$$ overseas. I’m sure YC’s gaining new drama fans again. Even Javabeans of Dramabeans is starting to get YC’s charm.

I just got tired of all the drama. I just want to spazz right now. Of course, when trials and tribulations pour on you, it’s just normal that you’d reach your breaking point and mourn, letting all frustrations come out. But, it is not the be all and end all of your life. You mourn, vent it out and then you move on. This is what YC’s doing now. He’s looking forward to the future. He has to much to live for. That thing he tweeted about his brother was not only an assurance to Yoohwan but it also indirectly addressed fans who were concerned about him. He never wanted his chunsas to worry about him. YC’s very inspiring.
I agree with you Pian. I was so happy when yoochun tweeted to Yoohwan. As soon as I saw it I tweeted to my Tlist even though I couldn’t read what he tweeted but the fact he tweeted made us all happy. As he rarely tweets, when he does, it’s always so heartwarming

Tbvh, I don’t think we need to pay the Micky much attention coz all of us know very well that he is a strong baby. He might even appreciate it more if we just leave him alone at a difficult time like now. Maybe it’s just me, but I think he’s not that kinda person who enjoys attention, if you know what I mean. Then again, I truly hope he’s over the “sad” point already. He’s such an optimistic person. A true inspiration.
And his tweet to YH, IMO, is just his indirect way of telling his fans that he’s moved on, so all the people who love and care for him should. There are so much ahead of us, so much to live for.
