From people who criticize Park Yuchun’s award winning, there is none with reasonable and clear evidence. People who criticize based on the assumption that he didn’t act well just because he is an actor who used to be an idol reveal themselves as “can’t be more pathetic”. Most of them who make such judgments on him do that even without watching his works.
However, if they watched his works, they couldn’t say such things. <Sungkyunkwan Scandal>, <Miss Ripley>, <Rooftop Prince>, <I Miss You>, he continued to grow through all. Nonetheless, even his first work was not bad in terms of acting. As there is no good reason to criticize him, most of people who blame him may be somebody else’s fans. Since they are one of the people who are making everybody else other than themselves enemies, they don’t seem to be rational when they blame somebody without any reason.
Taking about the elements of misapprehension in Park Yuchun’s acting and dwelling on one of his acceptance speeches of Drama Awards make us sink into his human nature and be aware of how his emotions are involved his world of acting.
After Park Yuchun won the best actor award from SBS Drama Awards, he himself expressed his new year’s wish during his interview very profoundly. “It may not be a wish. Among many that I would like to reach, my dream is that I don’t live apart with my family no matter what happens.” Such comment from his mind reveal his attitudes. The reason why his mental attitude is important is that it will always be expressed via his acting. Therefore, we can understand him, and his acting and have no doubt he won all the awards.

This is a gift to some certain individuals among international people who invest their time in Korean Entertainment culture and think they have the right to judge everyone, and assume everything.
Yoochun is well loved and recognized by many people in Korea, Japan and everywhere in the world. People everywhere on Earth adore real talents who always make effort and show respect. It is not granted easily and not an over night thing. It takes so much tears and hard work .

Need we say more? Every time Yoochun gets flak from people who can’t accept what he has achieved, I have the strongest urge to lash back but thankfully sanity takes over, why dignify their accusations by commenting, right? Yoochun lets his works speak for himself and it is definitely sweeter when he gets vindication so to speak from people other than his fans and friends, it gives it more weight, more meaning. To borrow HJW’s words, Dog barks, cats meow and antis, well, they just make unnecessary nonsensical noise.

THIS.. is so true!! If a full-time actor has to work hard to earn recognition, an idol-turned-actor will have to work triply hard to gain the same amount of recognition. Not because he is lacking in the acting department but more because he has the “idol” tag attached and ppl tend to zoom in into the tag when they pass judgments, instead of looking at the whole pic and judge him by his works.
Then again, who have planted these “idols can’t act” words in ppl’s minds?
Answer: YC’s idol sunbaes, peers, hoobaes XDDD
Ppl need to know. Although it’s a fact that many idols can’t act (even some full-time actors can’t act!
), there are always exceptions.
You need to at least watch their works, with an opened heart, before judging them.
To me, bias aside; YC’s an idol of rare skill and talent in this department.
He’s one of the pitifully few idols who can really act – I dare say he’s as good as, if not better than, some of them seasoned actors.
But ofc, there are still plenty of rooms for improvements.
I guess, this is also one of the reasons why you can see time and again, respected veterans, popular bloggers, ppl that matter most who can’t help but speak their minds for him. They know that real talents are meant to be appreciated and encouraged, not criticized for nonsensical reasons.

Then again, comparing to ppl who judged him negatively, simply because he’s an idol (or used to be an idol, btw, is he still an idol? Who’s an idol? haha~ I just know that he’s my idol, a person I look up to! XD) without watching his dramas..
..those “somebody else’s fans” (borrowing the blogger’s words, lol) who are watching the drama for a specific individual, are way more annoying.
Because they normally hate just for the sake of hating, in order to make the individual they are supporting looks better >///<

Me too am touched with his speech. He’s really a family man. Whoever catches his heart will be the luckiest girl. I think he has all the qualities a girl could ask for.
